The front panel with a relief carving of the Dragon King presenting the jewels of the sea to Emperor Ojin, here portrayed as a warrior riding on the back of a minogame and accompanied by various celestial beings riding on waves, reversed by birds in a flowering landscape executed in mother-of-pearl, shell and colored hardstone inlay, the separately fashioned base with reticulated spandrels and panel featuring a dragon and mokugyo amid scrolling tendrils and clouds and raised on curved supports, the finely incised details picked out with dark pigment (some losses to inlay).
