The 'Naseby' was an 80-gun first rate ship of the line built for the navy of the Commonwealth of England. In 1660 she sailed at the head of the fleet to bring Charles II back to England from the Dutch Republic upon the restoration of the monarchy. Once the ship arrived in The Hague she was renamed HMS 'Royal Charles' and took the king and his entourage (including Samuel Pepys) to Dover.
