A Pre-Imperial straight-sided pint mug, circa 1750
The plain body engraved David Fraser at ye Dundee Arms Plough Ally Wapping, touchmark inside base I. WYNN probably John Wynn, (w.1740-1778), (PS 10393), crowned WR mark to collar, S-curve handle with tongue thumbrest and hooded ball terminal, and ownership triad DFE, extensive nature's gilding throughout, height 11.8cm

    The Dundee Arms in Wapping - the latter a centre for ship-building and the victualling and supplying of ships - was used between 1747 and 1763 as a meeting place for the Masonic Lodge which came to be known as the Old Dundee Lodge (18).
