WEISSMULLER, JOHNNY. 1904-1984.
1. Document Signed ("Johnny Weissmuller"), 4 pp recto and verso, 4to (conjoining leaves), [Culver City, 1933], being a standard waiver form for a mandatory pay cut, four holes punched at upper margins, cut at upper right corner, mild toning. At the height of the depression, the studios implemented an 8-week salary waiver for all employees, with the lowest paid employees losing nothing, but the highest paid, like Weismuller, losing 50% of their income for the eight-week period. Studio employees balked, and the incident was a galvanizing moment for the Screen Actor's Guild.
2. 2 Photographs Signed ("Johnny Weissmuller"), 8 by 10 inch silver prints, one an image of Weissmuller as Tarzan and signed in 1937, the other a photograph of a pencil portrait of the star. With Signed Card.
