Typed Letter Signed ("L. Trotsky") in French, 1 p, 4to, Constantinople, October 26, 1929, to M. Rosenthal, regarding the French edition of his autobiography, light creasing and toning.
Trotsky writes this letter from Turkey, where he spent four years after his exile from the Soviet Union. In it, he complains about Rieder, the publisher of the French edition of his autobiography My Life (originally written and published in German), remarking on the poor quality of the translation, the publisher's subtitle (chosen without his input), and the pace that the work is proceeding.
