WOLFE, THOMAS. 1900-1938.
Typed Letter Signed ("Thomas Wolfe"), 1 p, 4to, New York, May 4, 1936, to Robert F. Sisk of RKO Studios, on personal letterhead, light toning especially at folds.
Wolfe writes this letter to an RKO producer, agreeing to sign copies of his works for him in thanks for having had a viewing of the John Ford film, The Informer. He adds: "Let me take this opportunity of thanking you again for having 'The Informer' run off for me. I saw the picture sometime in early January I believe and invited about two dozen of my friends to the showing. Everyone was delighted, they thought it was one of the most magnificent and moving things they had ever seen and I felt the same way about it." Wolfe mentions that he is at work on a new book.
