AGEE, JAMES. 1909-1955.
Autograph Letter Signed ("James Agee"), 1 p, 8vo, n.p., n.d. (but early 1940s), to William Saroyan, small stain at left margin, right margin rough.
Agee apologizes to Saroyan for not being able to complete a story on the author for Time Magazine: "The thing I had hoped to do about your situation with the draft, and your theatre project, was swiped from me & sent to another department. They may do all right with it there but I suspect more likely they will do all wrong. In either case there is literally nothing I can do about it: the chronic situation in such a place as this."
