Two Chinese carved ivory figures
19th century
of a smiling old lady dressed in a long robe decorated with rabbits and flowers and scrolling cloud and holding a large star-studded sack, together with a figure of an old smiling man holding a gnarled club in his left hand. The two figures are inscribed with marks of "玉峰" (Yufeng) and "岷江" (Minjiang) respectively, which may attributed to the famous Daoism mount 青城山 (Qingcheng Mountain). 10cm and 10.5cm high respectively
