depicting Wang Zhaojun (王昭君), one of the four most famous beauties in ancient Chinese history, carrying a Xiongnu styled lute and wearing the robes and headdress typical of her station and carrying her attributes accomapnied by her three attendants all carying their accessories.
Inscribed with mark of "王昭君".

  • Wang Zhaojun was the consort of Xiongnu. She originated from the court of the Han Dynasty and their union was instrumental in maintaining the peace between China and Xiongnu for over half a century. Wang Zhaojun is a popular figure in Chinese literature, art and pop culture.
