The "100 Carats Club"
Rare Gem-quality Large Peridot
Pakistan
Worthy of consideration of the most serious gem collector or museum curator, this fantastic peridot is a rare collector's stone. Whether prominently displayed in a cabinet or worn it is suitably sized for mounting as a pendant. Most rough peridot crystals are rarely measure larger than ½ inch in height and are rarely transparent. To realize a stone of nearly 130 carats the rough would have to have been nearly double the size with considerable loss of weight. This beautifully faceted oval-cut stone has unheard of transparency and a vitreous luster as well as a color that is reminiscent of old-mine Burmese material. Weighing approximately 129.12 carats and measuring 38.0 x 25.0 x 18.0mm
