Tsavorite is probably the most desirable of the garnets, in specimen form, and rarely occurs in large crystals. This specimen has several large crystals, complete all around, comprising a full miniature piece. While tsavorite is known from other locales, the best and largest have come intermittently from this mine during excavations for tanzanite. Few specimens are seen on the market above thumbnail-sized (1 inch) clusters or single crystals, making this somewhat of a rarity. Measures 1 3/8 x 1 x ¾ in
