In black lacquered case decorated in the Chinese style, internal horn to louvred speaker behind right hand door, left door opens to reveal slide-out storage for thirty records and another slide-out compartment. Apollo twin-spring motor driving 12in. diameter turntable, tapered tone arm with HMV 5(a) soundbox, (not as originally fitted), the top swivels to reveal playing mechanism and then can be opened to make a 36 x 42in. baize covered card table, one further drawer to front - 36in. (92cm.) wide, 30in. (76cm.) high.
