A burlwood root censer and cover
Mid Qing dynasty Heavily carved from a knobbly and natural section of root, the interior hollowed and dressed in a layer of red lacquered gesso, flanked at both sides by a pair of upright handles, the fitted cover with carved pair of toads and a lotus flower. 26.6cm high. (2).
