A pale green jade 'lotus' bowl
Early Qing dynasty
The oval-shaped vessel of shallow rounded form rising to a lipped rim, the interior intricately worked with a pair of lotus blossoms surrounded by a meandering scroll of bats amongst stylised lotus flowers, the well flanked by twin lotus finial worked in high relief, with an elaborate pair of lotus flower handles suspending loose rings, the exterior with additional leafy lotus scroll, the foot reminiscent of a lotus flower.
