A realgar glass 'basket-weave' snuff bottle

Of compressed globular form, skilfully carved in varying levels of relief to simulate a vessel wrapped for protection in a basket weave casing, decorated with vivid splashes of orange against a brilliant red ground, reminiscent of 'realgar'.
