1956 BSA 500cc B31
Registration no. PEW 262
Frame no. BB31 23809
Engine no. ZB 34A 3454
Among BSA's most popular post-war models was the 'B31' and 'B33' ranges of overhead-valve 'singles', reliable, well-built - like all BSAs - and handling as well, particularly with the swinging-arm frame, as here, as the far more expensive 'Gold Star' from the same company. As time went on, many owners made their 'B' models look as 'Gold Star' as possible since, in the Café era, the look was important. Sadly, the long-term owner of this BSA, registered as a 'B31', is unable to give any information about modifications carried out or its mechanical condition. It is in good visual order with some expensive work carried out and is complete with V5 and the original RF.60 Log-book. Prospective buyers are invited to examine the machine in detail.
- The registration number for this motorcycle is PEW 662 not PEW 262 as stated in the catalogue. The frame number of this machine is EB31 2139.
