1957 BSA 348cc DB32 Gold Star
Registration no. GDC 419
Frame no. CB 325339
Engine no. DB32GS 934
BSA's most coveted 'single' has to be the 'Gold Star'. Made in 350 and 500 versions, this model grew from the pre-war M.20-based iron-engined 500 to the all-alloy DBD versions with their tremendous performance and sound which so enlivened the 'Café' scene in the 'fifties and 'sixties. GDC 419 was registered in Cheshire at the end of 1957 and has been in storage for many years. At some time the engine and primary transmission have been removed and these could not be found at the time of cataloguing. Nevertheless, the difficult to source 'rolling chassis' is intact, in good order and complete with V5 and the original RF.60 Log-book. A new engine to the desired specification can be sourced by the new owner to put an authentic 'Gold Star' back on the road.
