Eren Eyüboğlu, an important modern artist in her own right, was the wife of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu (see lots 2,3 and 4) and belonged to the D Group.
This particular work by Eren Eyüboğlu exemplifies the new heights of abstract expressionism that reached Turkey in the 1950s/ 1960s. Both Eren and Bedri Rahmi's work stands out amongst their contemporaries in terms of freedom and diversity of expression.
