Round mouthrim, flat base surrounded by a convex footrim, the bottle depicting a smiling figure of Dongfang Shuo seated on a giant peach, while holding a peach in his hands and one around his neck, stopper.

    This bottle is part of a small and rare group of mid- to late-Qing dynasty porcelain snuff bottles depicting Dongfang Shuo, who was born in Shandong in 160 BC and famously stole and ate some magical peaches from the orchard of Xiwangmu, Queen Mother of the West.
