The robust blade forged in a hira-zukuri, iori-mune configuration with a saki-zori curvature in a itame hada forging pattern of jinie; the tempered edge gunome mixed with choji-midare in nioi with tobi-yaki; the tip midare-komi; carved with the figure of Fudo Myo-o and bo-hi on the omote and the invocation Hachiman daibosatsu and bo-hi on the ura; gilt-metal one-piece habaki; tang with two holes and kesho-yasuri file marks, illegibly signed (katana-mei) Inaba (no) kami [] Fujiwara Masanori [] and on the ura, Fujiwara Masatsugu and kao and with date Kan'ei hachi nen rokugatsu bi (1632.6)

Nineteenth-century koshirae comprising a red and black-lacquer striped saya fitted with a shakudo and gold kozuka with tigers in relief on a nanako ground; tsuka mounted with copper and shakudo fuchi-gashira decorated with Hannya masks in iroe taka-zogan against a nanako and geometric ground in gold flush-inlays; the menuki Chinese generals on horseback in iroe taka-zogan; the oval shakudo nanako plate tsuba decorated with warriors before a pavilion in iroe taka-zogan, inscribed Eisho and kao
