Arita ware, "Gold" Imari type, circa 1700
Set on a ring foot and with a wide rim decorated in red enamel, gilt and a light pink wash over a clear glaze with a spray of flowering pomegranate in the center within a circular reserve surrounded by crested grouse, partridges and quails among millet and flowers, the rim divided into four panels with chrysanthemum sprays, foot with six spur marks
