1800 $1 Dotted Date
B-14, BB-194, R.3. This important die variety is easily identified by dot-like die breaks at the first 0 of the date. The offered coin is from an earlier die state, with few visible die breaks visible. A deeply toned example, some lighter slate-gray color is noted on selected highpoints. Ticks and scuffs are modest. There are no evident adjustment marks but some light graffiti is noted on the obverse. Here is an affordable example of this historic type. (PCGS 6889) Very Fine, some light obverse graffiti
