A group of five Dingyao and related Northern white ware dishes
Song to Jin dynasty
Including a floriform dish with six lobes forming the rim and canted walls that rise from a flat base, the creamy colored glaze covering all surfaces except three spur marks on the base; a pair of similarly formed saucers of smaller size, also with six lobes, a heavily crazed creamy glaze covering all surfaces except the flat bases; the fourth a floriform shallow bowl molded with five lobes and a roundel of facing phoenix across the floor of the well, a flat base and a metal band covering the unglazed lip of the rim; the last a footed deep saucer dish with wide rim flange covered with a creamy glaze that stops short of the deeply recessed foot (some pieces with chips, hairline cracks).
