A pair of carved ivory rectangular panels
20th century
Each of rectangular form with cusped corners framing deeply undercut interior scenes, the first portraying a beauty and scholar standing beneath an elaborate lantern, the second with the pair enjoying paintings while a pet bird perches above on a tall pole, the surfaces highlighted with black and polychrome pigments, the back of each panel inscribed da Qing gong zhi or da Qing shou; each set within a reticulated wood stand.
