in sunburst finish, with gold-plated hardware, bound mahogany body, ash top, mahogany neck, bound twenty-two fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlay and EC initials inlay, rosewood headstock facing with abalone vertical ROWAN inlays, metal tailpiece with six saddles, four Lace Sensor pickups set up as two humbuckers with metal surrounds, Musitech mid-range booster, three rotary controls and selector switch; and a tweed rectangular hardshell case with brown plush lining, with handwritten label with various inscriptions including Custom Handmade in Texas; accompanied by various documents including a maker's Certificate of Authenticity and manufacturer's warranty; signed by Eric Clapton on the back of the headstock in black felt pen

"[This guitar] was one of my earliest guitars as I had just ventured into the ranks of independent builders. I knew Eric was coming to Dallas in support of his latest release. He has always been a true inspiration to me not only as a musician but also as one who has quietly struggled with many demons and ultimately emerged as a stronger person with compassion. I decided to build the guitar and give it as a token of my appreciation for the enjoyment I have received all these years from his music.
I contacted Roger Forrester by letter and told him I would like to give this guitar to Eric and was later contacted...and told to bring it to the venue in Dallas.... I hope that it will, in some small way, help to support his efforts to bring a new beginning to those he endeavours to help."
