Footnotes

  • This guitar, with its very unusual and innovative construction, was specifically designed and built as a gift for Eric Clapton by Zemaitis in Japan in 2005. The dimensions of the guitar and the neck shape were based on Clapton's signature Martins, whereas most of the design concepts were one-off and developed for this project. Only two of these guitars constructed exclusively for Clapton and his Japanese friend in 2005 and the model was never intended for production.
