Gelatin silver print, probably printed in the 1940s, flush-mounted and tipped to a slick white board, initialed 'EW' and dated '1935' in pencil on the board; signed, titled, dated in pencil and blue 'Bureau de Paris Batignolles' stamp on board verso, framed.
'Portraits by Weston taken during the period of his Guggenheim fellowships are rare. Also known as Carlotta Grisi, she was an accomplished modern dancer who knew Weston in Santa Monica.' (Conger, fig. 1172)
