A pair of Iroquois quilled moccasins
Softly-tanned and front-seamed, the toes covered with dense contrasting rhomboid panels, plaited bands and diamond chains, the flaps worked in curvilinear motifs, trimmed in silk with edge beading, extensive insect grazing to one of the pair revealing the complex underlying stitchery.
