    If the present lot was manufactured contemporaneous to the published example, it would have been during the time Tony lived with his grandmother after leaving the Navy, honing his skills as a ceramicist (Spivey, p. 108). That Maria Martinez had a hand in the creation of this jar is at least suggested by the additional signature.
