The arched stepped crest centering an oval plaque depicting lovers, an attendant and Cupid in a meadow landscape beneath a gilt bronze shell flanked by gilt bronze mounted urn form finials above an upper case with a pair of doors with plaques first depicting a young shepherd offering a maiden a basket of flowers, the second depicting a maiden offering a basket of eggs to a bagpiper seated on the ground; flanked by single doors with plaques depicting a seated couple with a maiden tying a ribbon on a lamb while the young man gazes over her shoulder; the second depicting a pair of lovers playing 'blind man's bluff'; the doors opening to shelved interiors; the lower case with rectangular stepped top with rounded corners above a burl veneered frieze drawer with floral Vitruvian scroll decorated plaques centering an oval plaque with a putto playing a tambourine above a gilt bronze berried laurel swag; the corners with concealed lock releasing two narrow side drawers with recessed ebonized panels separated by gilt bronze leaf chutes raised on piastre and leaf cast scrolled supports joined by stretchers centering a gilt bronze urn terminating in turned feet, each plaque marked on the reverse KPM.
