The arched hood surmounted by brass finials of wing spread eagles above a glazed door opening to a twelve inch dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring and date aperture engraved with eagles in flight above inscribed signature Thomas Moore, within foliate spandrels and sunburst engraved at the arch, the trunk with arched door above a plinth base ending in bracket feet, overall chinoiserie decorated with garden pavilions on a scarlet ground.
