2 heat shield segments:
1. Half-cylindrical head shield segment from Command Module CM-009, 1¼ x 1½ inches. Encased in a command module-shaped lucite block with text reading: "Apollo S/C 009 Ablator, 18000mph reentry 26 Feb 66."
2. Unidentified segment of ablative material, 1½ by 1½ inches. Encased in lucite block.
The unmanned Apollo-Saturn 201 mission, in February 1966, successfully demonstrated the capability of the Command Module's heat shield to survive re-entry from low Earth orbit.
