A Meissen group of two Shepherd lovers, circa 1762-65
Modelled by J.J. Kändler, seated on rockwork, the shepherd holding a garland of flowers to his partner's chest, the shepherdess leaning against a plinth with two lambs at her feet, her skirt and his jacket painted with indianische Blumen, on a scroll work base picked out with gilt, 15.8cm high, crossed swords in underglaze-blue (minor chip to leaf, shepherdess' hand restored)
