Footnotes

  • The view of the Baumhaus in Hamburg is closely related to the etching by Anton Radl (Vienna 1774-1852 Frankfurt-am-Main) who specialised in landscapes, published about 1825. The view of the Alster Arcade und Jungfernstieg in Hamburg is also related to an etching by Radl. We are grateful to Paul von Lichtenberg with his assistance in cataloguing this lot.
