Jaques London, circa 1885-90,
one side stained red, the other side left natural, white king stamped Jaques London on the underside of the base, (red side re-stained by Jaques, one red pawn restored by Jaques), in a mahogany box with a hinged lid,
the king 7.7cm (3 inches) high, the pawn 3.7cm (approx 1½ inches) high, the box 22cm wide
