The slender ovoid body decorated in underglaze blue with two large bird-and-flower panels separated by small fan-form and hexagonal medallions, further cobalt-painted floral and landscape panels on the slender neck, all reserved on a gilt, red and black lacquer ground composed of various geometric patterns, further underglaze blue foliate decoration to the interior of the flaring foliate-edged trumpet mouth, the base signed Dai Nihon Hichozan Shinpo-zukuri.
