A pair of handwritten letters including a handwritten, signed letter on Joshua Logan letterhead dated January 17, 1974 and signed, "Josh" and a handwritten, undated letter on Jacqueline Susann letterhead signed, "Jackie" both expressing condolences after the death of Merman's mother in 1974. Together with an invitation from the President and Mrs. Nixon to attend a black tie dinner March 21, 1972 and an original copy of Ethel Agnes Zimmerman's baptism certificate filled out in her hand. Perhaps in an attempt to quell rumors that she inadvertently moved her year of birth from 1908 to 1912 there is an additional note at the bottom of the page reading, "This is a true copy taken from the Parish register, of the Church of the Redeemer, Astoria NY. This 25th day of May 1952 Page 188. Rev, Baxter Morris."
