An oil on canvas seated portrait of stage actress Laurette Taylor, in character as Peg from her longest-running success, Peg o' My Heart, seated and holding her dog, by portrait artist and stage designer Ben Ali Haggin (American, 1882-1951). This portrait hung in Taylor's home and that of her son, screenwriter Dwight Taylor, for most of the 20th century.
