the silver-plated award in the form of Union Jack and Stars and Stripes motif guitars, on ebonised base with presentation label to front, and Garrard & Co makers button to underneath, sold together with a certificate of authenticity provided by the manufacturer detailing its history, and a receipt for repair of the piece, 6½ inches high

Footnotes

  • The certificate details the manufacture of the award being for the 1st awards ceremony, however this was held in 1969, the award would therefore have been created for the 2nd ceremony in 1970.

    The awards were held at Wembley between 1969 - 1991, they will be returning to the venue in February 2012.
