A good triple-singing birds-in-cage, by Phalibois,
circa 1890,
with going-barrel movement, the four-cam stack for continuous birdsong and action to the three birds, the first perched upon brass T bar in multi-coloured feathered plumage with red head and lime green chest, flanked by the two slightly smaller birds on the green velvet cover base in predominant tones of electric green with brown highlights and deep blue with yellow highlights respectively, all moving naturalistic beaks, heads and tailfeathers, finished with intertwining silk leaf swags, under large rectangular domed cage with boss and hoop top, canted-corner profile, gilt gesso base with floral appliqués and acanthus leaf frieze to plinth, start/stop lever and crank spindle to right-hand side - 23in. (59cm) high
