circa 1890,
with single-air cylinder movement, Jumeau head, composition hands, glass eyes, holding a bed-warmer in one hand, pair of fire tongs in the other, dressed in nightcap, shirt with patterned waistcoat, apron and breaches with black shoes, when actuated, nodding head, sticking tongue out and raising tongs up and down accompanied by the music, standing on red velvet-covered square base with canted corners finished with wide gold trim, start/stop and winding spindle to right-hand side, on conical supports - 21.1/2in. (54.5cm) high
