the Ross No. 1 stand, signed A Ross London 1706, with calibrated screw fine focusing, mechanical stage and sub-stage, large plano/concave reflector, in mahogany case with recessed brass carrying handles, full set of accessories in six draws including bench condenser, five oculars, Ross 2in, 1/2in, 1/4in, 1/8in, 1/6in objectives, sub-stage dark ground condenser and wheel of stops, binocular tubes, analyser, polariser, and glass prism, 18in (46cm) high
