for earth and moon orbit against sun alignment, ivory earth with latitude and longitude lines, shadow crest from brass arm, moon (bracket remaining) and sun of solid brass to the centre of the geared apparatus controlled by turned ivory finger knob to side, the base of turned wood with coloured seasonal, planetory and zodiac chart for positions throughout the calendar - 9.1/2in. (24cm) diameter, the earth 5/8in. (1.5cm)
