unsigned, main body of substantial lacquered brass, polished steel ring weight and pivots, knurled axis screws and ridged gimbal rings, on adjustable stem to circular brass base with turned waist and base, with two mercury-filled weights with attached cord, free-standing stilt, pull-string on turned wood and large stilt with engine-polished brass crescent, in grained beech case with brass bar handle - 16in. (41cm) instrument height
