with large single-spring motor, single-section comb with brass screw washers, stamped plain brass bedplate with the opposite diagonal corners bearing the full maker's name, in bare polished interior under dustlid, in oak case with end-flap, veneered in rosewood, full veneered lid with large delicate boxwood inlay of floral swags and shell matrix, single strung inlaid frame, with a period heavy cast metal key, lid key and correspondence and instructions from Harrods to a purchaser of this box dated 31st January 1986 - 18in. (46cm) wide, the cylinder 10.5/8in. (27cm)
