with fusee movement, upper-case stamp to spring plate, inscribed with Charles Bruguier au grand pres 518 á Geneva 226 to top of key compartment in main body, the bird with layered feathered plumage in dark green, turquoise and blood red with green and subtle orange iridescent highlights, moving bone beak, head, wings and tailfeather to continuous birdsong from the eight-cam stack, rising through pierced and chased gilt grille, badly fatigued lid interior enamel of flowers on lagoon-blue ground, the lid top with equally badly fatigued pictorial enamel scene of two sailing boats upon a still lake with rocky tree-line shore and mountainous landscape beyond, slim shaped enamel line infill in white and blue, the main lid with a pair of shaped medallions in Royal blue enamel with busy geometric scroll, flowerhead and leaf ground in various colour on tooled wave-line ground, the main body of the now rubbed silver-gilt case with musical instrument ensemble to front, back and underside, corners with bracket-from incised decoration, hidden key compartment to rear, start/stop to front-right, with a period ratchet key; in contempory green-papered card box bearing ink-written label, (movements tentative, pictorial enamel badly damaged and partly re-painted) - 3.5/8in. (9.2cm) wide
