A fine and important English Dolls House on three drawer stand, early 19th century
The stippled stone effect facade with grand front entrance having moulded stairs with two metal boot scrapers leading to paneled front door with arched moulded surround and fan light above, pull-handle door bell to side. The facade with nine windows including large arched top window to centre of first floor, each window with finely carved window bars and having moulded sills and surrounds, flat roof with two large chimney's and sitting on original 3-drawer base (one window damaged lacking window bars and glazing, another lacks glazing).
Front opens in three sections to reveal four large, high ceiling rooms, central hallway and landing with stairs, interior doors to each room and to cupboard at rear of hallway.
Kitchen: Stone washed walls and painted tiled floor, large moulded marbled fire-place with hearth and water tank, dresser and kitchenware.
Lounge: Cream and blue papered walls and red patterned paper flooring, built-in marbled fire-place, furnishings include red upholstered chairs, sideboard and clock.
Bedroom 1: Cream and blue walls and green patterned carpet, built-in marbled fire-place, furnishings include bed, tin bath and table.
Bedroom 2: Grey wall paper and flooring, built-in marbled fire-place, furnishings include two beds, dressing table, table.
Hallway: Papered wood grain walls, in-built cupboard with shelves, stairs and alcove.
Landing: Green painted walls.
Together with various miniatures and accessories including papier-mache shoulder head doll, five glazed china head dolls and four parians (some damage/loss). 155cm (61in) tall, 117cm (46in) wide, 61cm (24in) deep.
