Gilt verge two-train movement with two silvered regulations, pierced and engraved balance cock, tall baluster pillars, striking on a bell with strike/silent lever under the bezel, later white enamel dial, black Roman numerals and Arabic numerals for minutes, blued steel beetle and poker hands, inner case finely pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls and a mask, with case maker's mark IL, possibly for John Laing, outer case pierced and engraved with squared hinges and case maker's mark WS for William Sherwood, movement signed
