Footnotes

  • Three distinct vintage reversos were made; the first was the Tavannes powered Reverso with no seconds display in production between 1931-1933, the second was the LeCoultre-powered reverso with subsidiary seconds at 6; the last was the LeCoultre-powered reverso with central sweep seconds. This particular Tavannes movement ( signed on the movement, 'Lusica') is the 063 caliber and this kind of caliber would usually be signed 'Reverso' on the dial. This type of reverso case is also usually stamped with a 4-6 digit number on various parts of the watch.

Another example of the Tavannes movement and caliber can be found on page 30 and 38 of 'Jaeger-LeCoultre,' by Zaf Basha to whom we thank for this information.
