Surmounted by the removable moulded entablature, over plain rectangular columns, set on a double plinth base with boxwood stringing to the corners and mouldings, the signed 5.25 inch enamel Arabic dial with centre seconds, blued steel 'Breguet' minute and jump hour hands, together with a subsidiary thermal compensation quadrant to the top left sector, the twin train movement with a dead beat escapement featuring jewelled pallets and escape wheel pivots, a gridiron pendulum, weight driven remontoire and rack striking on a bell, the circular plates united by four cylindrical pillars, the backplate signed 'Breguet' 61.5cm (24.25in)
